Atlus puts up new teaser site

The new teaser site was revealed by Atlus Japan’s twitter account. The only thing on the site right now is a lone image whch resembles the logo of Persona 4.

There’s no word on what the site is about, but it’s resemblance to the Persona 4 logo has led people to assume it’s connected to that game somehow, with many hoping for a Persona 4 Portable for the PSVita.

For now we’ll just have to wait and see.

Yet another new Persona 4 anime trailer

You know the drill by now. It’s on the Mayonaka TV website, only available for a limited time. This one features the opening song for the series, “sky’s the limit,” which features the same vocalist as the songs from the game. This trailer also shows a few of the Social Link characters meaning the Social Links will likely be incorporated into the story somehow, as well as a few more of the personas in action, and most importantly the Junes jingle at the end. The series will air this fall and will last two cours( around 24 to 26 episodes). Here’s a YouTube embed.

Another new Persona 4 anime clip

Today’s update on the Mayonaka TV website is a short clip featuring the character Rise Kujikawa. Similar to some of the previous clips on the site, this one is short, blurry, and in black and white. This most likely means another full trailer will be appearing shortly, since clips like this appeared before the previous trailers. You can see the clip on the site for a short time, or can just check out the YouTube video below.

A look at the Shin Megami Tensei franchise

Something I like to do fairly often is break out of my old PS2 and play some older games. Well, that’s kind of a lie. I never have to “break out” my PS2, because it’s pretty much always hooked up unless I need to hook something else up to the TV. The reason for this is simply because there are more games I want to play for the PS2 than any of my current generation consoles. One particular franchise that keeps me playing my PS2 is Atlus’ Shin Megami Tensei. In fact, Nocturne is the game currently keeping me tethered to my PS2.

The recent news that Atlus USA will be bringing the PSP port of Persona 2 to North America has made me particularly happy. Of any SMT games I’ve played, the Persona series has been my favourite. Since I started with Persona 3, I didn’t really have a chance to play the first two games, but with these PSP ports I can. With this latest announcement, it seems like a good enough time to detail my journey through this franchise.

There will probably be massive spoilers for some of these games.

New Persona 4 anime trailer

The Mayonaka TV website has started showing a new video yet again. This time it’s another actual trailer, showing off all new bits of animation. We get to see Kanji and Dojima for the first time, as well as new footage of the Main Character summoning his persona, ending with a scene of Kanji’s Shadow similar to the scene of Yukiko’s Shadow from the old trailer. The trailer lists the Japanese cast, which has been on the website for a while, and also says that the series will begin airing this October.
